Town/City: Half Assini
Municipality: Jomoro
HEUC is in the unique position of running degree programmes through the generic pathway in the Western Region. It is the first and only University College established at Half Assini that aims to award students after completing continuous four-year programmes in General Nursing, Midwifery, Community Nutrition, Health Promotion, Information Technology and Computer Science.
Another Uniqueness is HEUC’s proximity to prospective students and health workers who desire to be degree holders within Jomoro, Ellembelle and Nzema-East Municipalities and beyond. For the past years, prospective WASSCE/SSSCE graduates, certificated enrolled nurses, certificated community nurses, certificated midwives, allied/public health practitioners and certificate holders in information technology who wanted to pursue further study had to travel to the city, sometimes long distance outside the region to obtain their desired degree awards. Now, students need not to travel long distances as HEUC intends to prepare them for excellent academic laurels.
